Stonebwoy Addresses Rumors Surrounding Shatta Wale’s Canceled Performance at Rave Reunion Concert
The recent Rave Reunion concert was abuzz with excitement, but the event took an unexpected turn when Shatta Wale, one of the scheduled performers, was barred from taking the stage.
The shocking turn of events sparked a flurry of rumors, with many fingers pointed at Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale’s rival and colleague, as the mastermind behind the cancellation.
However, Stonebwoy has finally broken his silence, putting to rest the speculation and rumors that have been making waves in the music industry.
In an interview on Assase Radio, the award-winning artist categorically denied any involvement in the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s performance, labeling the accusations as “ridiculous.”
Stonebwoy’s response was laced with a mix of disbelief and amusement, as he wondered how he could be perceived as wielding such immense power.
“It’s ridiculous to have heard because it’s just like waking up and being accused of being very very very powerful.
I don’t have such powers. I don’t have the power to cancel my brother’s performance, and even if I had, I wouldn’t abuse it,” he explained.
The TGMA 24 Artiste of the Year continued, “It’s normal for my brother to think that I’m very powerful, but I’m only a musician, not a powerful deity.” Stonebwoy’s statement highlights the absurdity of the rumors and showcases his commitment to setting the record straight.
Wave Africa, the organizers of the event, had earlier released a press statement revealing that an “order from above” had led to the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s performance.
The statement disclosed that security personnel from the University of Ghana had interrupted the stage setup and sound check, citing an order from the institution’s leadership to continue the event without Shatta Wale’s performance.
As the dust settles on this controversy, it’s clear that Stonebwoy’s name has been unfairly dragged into the fray.
His denial of the allegations serves as a reminder to be cautious of unfounded rumors and to respect the boundaries of colleagues in the industry.
