Former Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena laid to rest [Photos]

It was a heartbreaking moment as scores of supporters joined family to say goodbye to Ghanaian football star, Raphael Dwamena who kicked the bucket in Albania.

The grave yet bright occasion occurred on Friday at the Adjiriganor Astro Turf in Accra.

Dwamena’s memorial service united previous Black Stars players including Augustine Arhinful, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Ibrahim Tanko, Kwadwo Asamoah, Isaac Vorsah, and Sulley Muntari.

The Ghana Football Association(GFA) President Kurt Okraku likewise drove a designation including General Secretary Succeed Harrison Addo, and Leader Committee Part Eugene Nobel to offer their final appreciation.

The player died on Saturday, November 11, 2023, after a heart disappointment during an Albanian association game while playing for KF Egnatia against Partizani in the 24th moment.

Preceding the unexpected demise, the 28-year-old was determined to have a heart condition and subsequently had a defibrillator embedded prior to going with a ‘individual choice’ to eliminate it in 2022.

The gifted footballer made his worldwide introduction for the Black Stars of Ghana on June 11, 2017, against Ethiopia.
