The Leader of the Bono Local Place of Bosses, Osagyefo Osaedeeyo Agyeman Badu II has declared the suspension of the Berekum Conventional Committee from the exercises of the House.
Talking at a yearly finish of year survey meeting, the president said the choice accompanies the aggregate support of seven individuals from the house.
“As we stay here today, seven of us who are bosses in this Bono District in particular Drobohene, Nsokohene Dwinimhene, Wenchihene, Kwaatsomanhene, Sumaahene and myself Dormaahene and individuals of Bono have settled that from hence we don’t have anything to do with Berekum as far as exercises in this house until they figure out how to let us know something sensible,” he expressed.
Making sense of the thinking behind the choice, Dormaahene said the suspension is regarding a directive started by the Berekum Conventional Committee which controlled him from going to the new memorial service of the late Berekumhene Daasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II.
As per him, the suspension of Berekum from the Bono Local Place of Bosses will remain until the Committee gives a superior clarification to the court activity.
A Sunyani High Court on Wednesday (Nov 22), limited Dormaahene from going to the burial service on Thursday, Nov 23, since it could prompt the break of the harmony.
The request followed an application brought under the steady gaze of the court by an individual from the Berekum Conventional Committee, Osabarima Kyere Yeboah Darteh II.
As per the candidate, the choice by Dormaahene to go to the burial service on Thursday, that very day the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu was booked to go to the memorial service could prompt the break of harmony nearby.
The arranging panel of the memorial service had planned for Dormaahene to go to the memorial service on Wednesday while noticing that Otumfuo generally is the last individual to go to the internment of a Berekumhene since the Berekumhene owes devotion to the Brilliant Stool – Asanteman.
