Chelsea has decided to terminate Abdul Baba Rahman’s contract one year earlier than originally planned, as confirmed by The Athletic.
The Ghanaian fullback, whose contract was set to expire next summer, will be allowed to leave the club without a transfer fee.
However, Chelsea will receive additional compensation or bonus payment if Rahman joins another club during the current summer transfer window.
Since joining Chelsea in 2015, Baba Rahman has struggled to secure a regular spot in the first team.
